Noty

Privacy Policy

Effective October 11, 2026

The short version: Noty has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your notes are encrypted on your iPhone with a key only you hold. We can't read them.

What stays on your device

Everything you write or attach in Noty — text, photos, videos, files and voice memos — is encrypted on your iPhone before it is saved, using a key created on your device. The encrypted files are excluded from iCloud and device backups. Your password, PIN and Face ID setting never leave your phone.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. Noty doesn't ask for your name, email or phone number, and it contains no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking code.

Optional sync

If you turn on sync, Noty uploads your notes already encrypted to our storage, hosted on Cloudflare. Each copy is filed under a random identifier derived from your key, not under your name or device. We only ever hold scrambled data that we cannot open. Sync is off until you turn it on.

Our servers

We can't recover your notes

Because only you hold the key, we have no way to read, reset or recover your notes. If you lose your password and haven't exported your key file, your notes can't be restored — by anyone. Please export your key from Settings and keep it somewhere safe.

Deleting your data

Children

Noty is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above.
